I purchased my Hot Tools product through a certified retailer, and it stopped working. What can I do?

Please first check with the retailer where the product was purchased. If your product is past the store’s return policy, contact Helen of Troy with a letter explaining the problem you experienced with your product and a copy of the receipt. Helen of Troy will only replace and honor product warranties for Hot Tools® products purchased through authorized resellers. Please contact us at 1-800-487-8769 for more information.

What is the warranty on my product?

Warranty periods vary by model number. The length of the warranty is stated on the product package. If the package is no longer available, please call our toll-free Consumer Services telephone number at 1-800-487-8769, Monday–Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. MST.

How do I replace the spring on my curling iron?

How do I register my product?

Please complete the product registration form to register your product.


Be prepared to provide:

  • Product name or model number
  • Place and date of purchase
  • Date code (the four-digit number located on one of the metal prongs of the product’s plug)
How long is the cord on my product?

Hot Tools cords are 6 ft., 8 ft., or 9 ft. long. Exact cord length is displayed on the product’s features and benefits and the packaging of your product.

How do I clean the lint filter?

We recommend unplugging the product and wiping the exterior with a damp cloth.

How do I know if my product is dual voltage?

Model numbers are available on the product box or handle where the origin of production is listed.

Most Hot Tools products are UL listed. This information is placed on the product’s box, as well as on the product itself.
