Helen of Troy, L.P. , a Delaware limited liability company (“Hot Tools® Professional”) warrants to the original product or service purchaser (“Customer”) that the  Helen of Troy, L.P. product was designed, developed and/or fabricated using all due reasonable commercial care and good manufacturing practices. Hot Tools® Professional's product shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for 730 days from the date of purchase.  Helen of Troy, L.P. sole obligation under this warranty is to repair or replace the product, at Helen of Troy, L.P. ‘s option.  Helen of Troy, L.P. must be notified of any claim under this warranty within 30 days of any claimed lack of conformity of the product or service.

Helen of Troy warrants to the original purchaser that this appliance is free from defects in workmanship for life from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damages resulting from alteration, accident, misuse, abuse, attempts at repair or the use of unauthorized attachments. If this appliance fails to operate properly under normal use within 30 days from purchase because of defect, simply return it to the place of purchase with proof of purchase for a no-charge replacement. If found defective after 30 days and within the warranty period, please contact our Consumer Service Department. The Consumer Service Department will provide instructions on how to exchange an item that is under warranty.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

Representatives of Hot Tools® Professional are not authorized to modify this warranty in any way. It is the Customer's responsibility to regularly examine the product to determine the need for normal service or replacement. This warranty does not cover the following:

Normal wear and tear

Damage due to misuse and abuse such as dropping, incorrect voltage supply, or neglect in safety precaution

Tampering, such as repair or attempted repair by an unauthorized party

Neglect or lack of proper maintenance

Damage to cord

Modification, neglect or poor maintenance, misuse, abuse, or involvement in accidents or natural disasters

Damage occurring during shipment of the product (such claims must be presented directly to the shipping company)

Damage or deterioration to the surface finish, aesthetics, or appearance of the product

Tools for which the Customer does not follow the warranty procedures outlined above

Tampering and misuse with transformers, voltage converters, plug adapters, or with alternative power supplies internationally (outside US, Mexico, or Canada), except for tools that have been specifically designed for international use.

 

WARRANTY LIMITATIONS

 

The duration of any implied warranty or condition of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or otherwise on this product shall be limited to the duration of the express warranty set forth above. In no event shall Helen of Troy, L.P. or its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, franchisees, officers, directors, managers, agents, representatives or employees, be liable for any loss (including but not limited to loss of life or property), inconvenience or damage, whether direct, incidental, consequential or otherwise, resulting from breach of any express or implied warranty or condition of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or otherwise with respect to this product, except as set forth herein. Some states or countries do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts and some do not allow exclusions or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which may vary, from location to location. This warranty will be interpreted pursuant to the laws of the United States and the State of California unless otherwise prohibited by State law. This warranty is not intended to confer any additional legal, jurisdictional or warranty rights to you other than those set forth herein or required by law. If any portion of this warranty is held to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, such finding will not invalidate any other provision.

RETURNS BY MAIL

Hot Tools accepts returns and exchanges for products purchased within 30 days from hottools.com. Please contact consumer services for assistance with a return or exchange of a Hot Tools hair tools product. Consumer services will provide you instructions and additional information to help you. Should you wish to return a product purchased on Hottools.com, follow the steps below:

1.      Call Hot Tools Consumer Service Department at (800)487-8769.

2.      Provide them with your contact information, address, and Order Number (found on the packing slip in your original shipment) and details regarding which product(s) you would like to return.

3.      Consumer Service will email you a pre-paid UPS shipping label.

4.      Carefully pack the items in a shipping box.

5.      Do not forget to INCLUDE THE RECEIPT INSIDE THE SHIPPING BOX.

6.      Print the shipping label provided by Consumer Service, affix it to the box and drop your package at the nearest UPS drop-off.

 

7.      Please allow 14 business days for your credit to be applied to the original form of payment.
